What is EPIC?
Our local ELCA congregations have a long history of collaboration, but knowing what to call this has sometimes been confusing. We recently have started to use the acronym EPIC (ELCA Partners In Christ) to refer to the shared work that is being done with Advent, Faith, Immanuel, St. John and Trinity Lutheran Church. Cooperative efforts, from confirmation to clergy lunches to shared worship services, have fostered a spirit of partnership that is helping us better appreciate where God is guiding our congregations. The EPIC Listening Team is made of members from each of the EPIC congregations. They meet regularly to discuss ways in which we can do ministry together.
