Online registration is now open for our annual Together in Mission event!

The day will begin with a communal worship, followed by a report from our partners from Gold Enterprises who will share with us their initial reflections coming out of the Synod's recent Authentic Diversity survey, and help us consider ways God can move us forward in this important work.

After a midday lunch, we will also hold a variety of workshops that will explore how we can grow and be more intentional in various dimensions of congregational ministry related to Authentic Diversity. 

You may also have the opportunity to participate in Focus Groups, which will be small gatherings of 10-12 people which will provide a safe space for participants to share their stories related to racism, discrimination, and exclusion in the life of this church. These groups will be facilitated by consultants from Gold Enterprises and will help guide our work as we identify the practices, policies, and structures that need to be re-examined and changed.

At this event, we will also be joined by “A Peace of My Mind,” a unique photo-storytelling project. Participants will answer a simple open-ended question (to be provided in January ahead of the event) in 25 words or less. Then, the photographer will take a portrait, and overlay your words on top of your picture. We strongly encourage you to be a part of this, as the final product will really showcase the breadth of wisdom in our synod! You will also receive a digital copy of the portrait, with your words overlaid, for free. See examples of past projects that are similar here.
