Partnership

This week my journeys brought me to a table where community leaders representing a variety of faith traditions, vocations and backgrounds had gathered to consider how we might bring people together to learn and practice empathy.  It was an amazing convergence of talent, creativity and experience that generated a palpable sense of energy!

This particular effort involves caring for a neglected local park in a neighborhood often overlooked by the wider community.  We’re inviting people to learn about their neighbors and all that connects us by planting trees on Mother’s Day weekend with the City Forestry Department.  This is something that everyone at the table cares about deeply, but could never accomplish alone.  It is through partnership that something greater is ultimately revealed.  What discoveries have partnerships revealed to you?
