On Sunday, October 2, at 9:30 a.m. we will be welcoming back Pastor John from his sabbatical leave.
Note: Worship is ½ hour later than usual.
As worship begins we will welcome Pastor John back. A unique symbol for pastors is their stole which has been hanging on the pulpit during Pastor John’s sabbatical. The stole symbolizes being set apart by the church for ministry of Word and Sacrament. We will place Pastor John’s stole on his shoulders to mark the end of this intentional sabbatical time and to indicate his return to active ministry among us.
The worship service will be livestreamed that day for those who worship online, although we are hoping to see as many people as possible in person!
Cookout and Potluck
Following worship on October 2 we will be holding a cookout and potluck. We will provide brats and hot dogs, buns, and fixings. Please bring a dish to share. This will give us some time to visit with Pastor and Alisa as well as fellowship with each other.
This year the Stewardship Team is focusing on cultivating community. What better way to cultivate community than sharing a meal!
We are all looking forward to being together again! Our thanks to our Church Council and Sabbatical Team for their efforts in planning worship during Pastor John’s sabbatical.
