This Christmas season we will be collecting items for Family Sharing of Ozaukee County and for the Afghan refugees who are currently being housed at Ft. McCoy.

Family Sharing has requested knit winter hats and sturdy, nylon gloves for high school and middle schoolers. Medium and Large sizes are preferred.

The Women and Children Centers and Learning Centers at Fort McCoy has need for the following items for winter children’s indoor activities:

• Notebooks and journals
• Pens and #2 Solid Pencils
• Small pencil sharpeners
• Play-Doh
• Puzzles under 100 pieces
• Floor puzzles
• Maps, map games and map puzzles
• Simple language learning tools, books and games
• Memory games, especially with English words and images
• Children’s books up to young adult age
• Coloring books
• Coloring markers
• Dry erase markers (black markers requested)
• Colored beads (the bigger the better)
• Lettered beads for spelling
• Art supplies
• Craft supplies for art projects the children can take with them (items like colored tissue paper, colored pipe cleaners, googly eyes, pony beads, yarn, glue)
• Communal games like bingo
• Kids board games (Checkers, Chess and Candyland requested)
• Decks of cards, Uno and simple games

Donated items can be placed in the appropriately marked bins under the Christmas tree in the Fellowship area of the Education Wing throughout the month of December.
